Bruno’s interest in Longbows began as a hands-on exploration of traditional archery and quickly grew into a lifelong craft. An experienced bowyer, he carefully shapes and tillers longbows from a wide variety of wood species, valuing each stave for its unique character, strength, and history. What started as a personal pursuit has evolved into a refined practice, where patience, skill, and respect for tradition guide every bow he makes. Whether crafting a bow for his own enjoyment or creating a custom piece for a fellow archer, Bruno is dedicated to producing longbows that are both functional tools and expressions of timeless craftsmanship.
The Artist
Bruno’s art work ranges across contemporary abstract paintings as well as the occasional landscape, garden and indoor sculptures & objects of art and function. His works are inspired from observations of nature and responses to the movement of life and depth of emotion.
Forms and scenes are abstracted to reveal forces, duality and relationships while stimulating emotional and sensory interaction with its viewers. His paintings are all acrylics on canvas stretched over gallery style frames. In his sculpture practice, Bruno works in a variety of mediums including free-form ferro cement, welded steel, cast bronze, EPS and epoxy sculptures. Bruno also enjoyed doing special commission works because behind each project new and interesting friendships and deep insights of enlightenment arise.
